On these stages, you live aboard a tall ship at sea and get the unforgettable experience of racing at full sail against our sister ships.
After departure, you can settle into the unique rhythm of life at sea and enjoy intimate contact with both the ocean and your co-sailor colleagues from around the world. Sea Norway voyages promise an extraordinary experience of slow-life, oceanic vistas and coastal beauty.
On a regatta stage you’ll get the thrill of competing in a short regatta against our sister ships. Experience the magic of team spirit, as the crews fight to squeeze the last bit of speed out of the ships but still have time to have fun. And of course, when the competition is over, we always celebrate the victors with prizes.
No two days will be the same. One could see you setting & trimming sails, steering, navigating and learning the ways of the open sea; the next you might spend enjoying the fjords with the sun in your face, swaying in a hammock with a good book, taking photos or discussing the ways of the world with your fellow adventurers over a cup of coffee. And imagine falling asleep as moonlight and phosphorescence flash in a dark sea, listening to the endless sound of breaking bow waves.
Regatta stages often include stopovers to explore Norway’s magnificent countryside and iconic destinations, and to experience local coastal culture in small towns and villages along the route.
Welcome to a voyage of discovery aboard our three ships, Christian Radich, Wylde Swan and Gulden Leeuw, three of the last great “windjammers” of the last century still in active service. Christian Radich, with a main mast towering above 37 meters, and more than a thousand meters of sail spun on almost 9000 meters of rope, is truly a majestic sight. Its sister ships, the Dutch vessels Wylde Swan and Gulden Leeuw are equally impressive. Swan is a spectacularly sleek schooner with two 40-meter masts and oversized sails. Leeuw is one of the world’s largest three-mast topsail schooners.
Join Sea Norway for exhilaration and relaxation, exploration and adventure. Welcome to an oceanic experience of a lifetime.
