Skagen is Denmark’s northernmost city and originally a fishing port. The city has around 8000 inhabitants, but in summer it is a resort bustling with life and the harbour is filled with sailboats. As early as the 19th century Skagen was a popular place for artists, the «Skagen painters». They were attracted by the special light. In Skagen museum you can see paintings by the famous artists. Take a walk in the narrow streets among the yellow small houses with their beautiful rose gardens and sit in the harbour and enjoy!
