The foundation’s purpose is to preserve Christian Radich for future generations through active operation, and primarily as a school ship. The ship is also used for voyages for trainees of all ages and for charter. The ship is a great sailing ambassador for Norway.

The ship sails with a crew of 15 people; extra crew members will be taken on for the summer season. The crew consists of Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Dutch men and women – a fantastic team working on one of the world’s most spectacular vessels.

On land, at Skur 32 on Akershusstranda, you will find the office members of the Foundation. Today we are a total of 3 employees.

Christian Radich regains status as School ship

After a long and successful collaboration, the Norwegian Navy’s officer school were unable to renew the contract with Christian Radich after April 2015, despite being very satisfied with our services. There has been an intensive process to find alternative employment during the winter months. The Foundation now offers training for Norwegian maritime college students from September to May.
